Excursions & Weekends
The TU Dublin International Summer School provides a magical programme of social and cultural events to ensure that your trip to Ireland is truly memorable.
We have put together a schedule of activities that will bring you from the incredible Titanic Experience in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to exploring the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher on the South West coast of Ireland. Through our vibrant Capital City, we will bring you on the historical journey through the development of our most famous export – Guinness. At the Guinness Storehouse you can see how our famous black ale is made and after pouring your own pint of Guinness, what more is there to do only sample your efforts! One of the highlights of the programme is The Celtic Nights Show in The Arlington Hotel. It includes World Championship dancers and All-Ireland winning musicians showcasing some of Ireland’s ‘sean nos’ (old style) Irish dance & the famous Brush Dance.
During your free time in the evenings and on weekends you are free to explore with your new friends and sample the delights that Ireland has to offer. Your induction packs will contain details of top things to do in the City, great places to eat and fun places to hang out.
Having free weekends will allow you to explore this small but beautiful country, why not plan a trip to Ireland’s other cities; Galway, Limerick or Cork, or visit mystical Glendalough in nearby Wicklow, the beautiful Aran Islands off the West Coast or even take in the breathtaking landscape of Donegal in the far North West of the country. There is so much to see and do!
